First to sign up is first onstage. Contest time is limited to 4pm - 5pm
The "Show & Tell" Songwriter's Contest is the North Branch Bluegrass Festival's homespun version of American Idol. It's as simple as "show us what you've got after you tell us a quick story of how you came to write it". Sign up at the ticket booth when you arrive in the morning. Each entrant will be issued a number. When everyone has had a turn, the audience votes by official paper ballot. The entry with the most votes wins a $25 prize. Acceptable musical genres for this old-fashioned event are Bluegrass, Old-Time Country, or Folk.
